  • Back in the Loop

People blog for different reasons. Some use it as a mirror in front of which to preen, some talk to it the way the wish they could or would speak to someone and they didn't, and some, like me, turn to it for catharsis and then some.

And boy do I have a load to dump (I missed my own toilet humour thankyouverymuch). So, after graduation, i had a pretty good life. I was a sales executive in marcusevans, going through the motions of the sales process and being good at it (remember the blogging = mirror thing? I do that too), made a pretty decent bundle in eight months, didn't have to drive since the island was a small one, in short, it was a cushy life. And a right good one at that especially for a fresh graduate.

So, i decided to trash all of that and move back to KL. Attending interviews in KL for a coupla days whilst taking days off from Marcusevans, I thought to myself "Hmm, I kinda miss this. The rude people. The late busses. The overcorwded and smelly trains." Boy was that a lapse in judgement of the grossest kind.

I'm currently working my bony (and getting increasingly bonier) ass of in a company, underpaid, so overworked (the JD was just a mere formality, apparently Marketing Executive meant Everythingunderthesun Executive.) But the first four days were fine. On the fifth, i was cught in the rain and fell sick on the sixth so i took a day off on the eigth day of work. But on the tenth day of work, I almost had a nervouce breakdown.

Indeed, I was that close to just calling up my boss and saying "Suck it! Real hard! Then swallow!". But now that I've blogged about the incident, without revealing too much of course (I'm living currently in a political environment much too tinder-like for my comfort, saying the wrong thing at the wrong time could get you burned as an acquaintance of mine learnt several months ago), I'm going back to work tomorrow.

    Cause I like it.

    Really.

Catharsis is another word for denial.

    Did you know that?
